5.0 out of 5 stars PB Blaster - Blast The Hell Out Of It!, May 3, 2010

MY EXPERIENCE: OK lets start off with the toxicity claims. First of all, I do believe this product to be toxic. For one thing, I don't like the smell of it! Secondly, without a doubt, if you sniff too much of this stuff, your going to get light headed, or at least feel like your mellow yellow on liquid wrench, macromaying your head into the car bumper. The thing I don't like about this stuff, is that it does not come with a straw. Oh sure it claims to have pin point accuracy, but that is a joke. If you want to focus the blast right where you need it, you need a straw, and they don't even provide that for you!

As far as its claims to be magnetic, surprisingly it is! I don't know what is in this stuff, but you could put a metal object on a up-hill, and spray PB just bellow it. And the PB will slowly climb up to it like a worm going after its food. This works really well, cause I can spray this stuff into small crevices on an engine, or door hinges for example, and the product... Read more

I owned a boat repair shop for about 10 years on the ocean. Dismantling corroded engines was miserable. PB Blaster makes WD-40 and those others look like water in comparison. I highly recommend it. It smells a bit like kerosene so use it sparingly indoors. Unsticks anything. The funny label is worth the price.

    5.0 out of 5 stars Made Me a Believer, April 16, 2010

So I've recently taken a more DIY approach to things and decided to change my own brakes / rotors on my car.

Everything was going fine, until I got to the second rotor, and couldn't get the thing to come off. I pounded on it with a mallet for some time (on and off for a good 25-30min), put a whole lot of WD40 on it, but nothing. Didn't even budge. So, I decided to look for a better solution, and found this stuff recommended on various auto forums. Most everything I found said that if this couldn't take it off, the last resort was going to be a cutting torch. So, I bought a can.

Took it home, sprayed it in between the rotor and into the bolts and was surprised to see that it did actually stick pretty close and didn't drip as much as the WD40. The stream is very precise and lets you get into small spots without a straw. I let it sit for a couple minutes, and came back with a dead blow hammer, and a few hits later was on my way again.

I wish I had... Read more
